TL;DR
Software Development Manager (Fintech): Leading and growing a high-performing software development team within the Financial Services organization with an accent on scalable cloud-based systems. Focus on mentoring developers, removing delivery blockers, and collaborating with Product teams to execute the long-term vision.
Location: Must be located in Canada and able to work within EST/EDT hours
Salary: $180,000 – $195,000 CAD

What you will do
- Lead, motivate, and grow a team of software developers in the Financial Services domain.
- Manage a team through collaboration and mentorship of a Technical Lead Staff Engineer.
- Align team priorities and roadmaps with architects, Product teams, and engineering leadership.
- Identify and remove risks and impediments to delivery across the organization.
- Drive professional growth through 1-1s, performance reviews, and goal-setting.
- Recruit and hire top talent for the team and the wider organization.
Requirements
- Proven experience leading software development teams to successful product delivery.
- Experience with microservice-driven, scalable, cloud-based applications.
- Strong working knowledge of Java or TypeScript.
- Professional experience in agile development and continuous delivery practices.
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
- Ability to coach and mentor individuals to reach their full potential.
Nice to have
- Experience in the Payments domain.
- Experience building scalable SaaS solutions.
- Full-stack web application development experience.
- Solid knowledge of cloud services, particularly AWS and GCP.
- Project Management or Scrum Master certification/experience.
- Experience in test automation and/or DevOps engineering.
