Location: Must be located in Canada and able to work within EST/EDT hours

Salary: $180,000 – $195,000 CAD

What you will do

• Lead, motivate, and grow a team of software developers in the Financial Services domain.
• Manage a team through collaboration and mentorship of a Technical Lead Staff Engineer.
• Align team priorities and roadmaps with architects, Product teams, and engineering leadership.
• Identify and remove risks and impediments to delivery across the organization.
• Drive professional growth through 1-1s, performance reviews, and goal-setting.
• Recruit and hire top talent for the team and the wider organization.

Requirements

• Proven experience leading software development teams to successful product delivery.
• Experience with microservice-driven, scalable, cloud-based applications.
• Strong working knowledge of Java or TypeScript.
• Professional experience in agile development and continuous delivery practices.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
• Ability to coach and mentor individuals to reach their full potential.

Nice to have

• Experience in the Payments domain.
• Experience building scalable SaaS solutions.
• Full-stack web application development experience.
• Solid knowledge of cloud services, particularly AWS and GCP.
• Project Management or Scrum Master certification/experience.
• Experience in test automation and/or DevOps engineering.
