Senior Software Developer, Kubernetes Compute

Location: Toronto, Canada; in-person attendance required at least 3 days per week

Base pay range: CAD 166,000–195,000 per year, plus bonus opportunities, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

• Design, build, and operate scalable Kubernetes container infrastructure for high-throughput financial applications.
• Support the migration of core workloads to Amazon EKS while maintaining zero-downtime deployments.
• Optimize container lifecycle management, networking infrastructure, and cluster provisioning APIs for multi-region reliability.
• Integrate platform capabilities including service mesh, authentication, and load balancing with engineering teams across Robinhood.
• Identify production performance bottlenecks and implement automated solutions to improve platform availability.

Requirements

• Strong proficiency with Kubernetes control plane and data plane components, including container lifecycle management.
• Experience deploying, debugging, and managing large-scale distributed systems or containerized platforms in production.
• Familiarity with AWS infrastructure and managed container environments such as Amazon EKS.
• Knowledge of container networking, cluster security protocols, and open-source cloud-native tools.
• Ability to plan and execute technical projects systematically while providing technical guidance to team members.
