Senior Software Engineer, Platform Network (Auth0)

Location: Toronto, Ontario, Canada; hybrid

Annual base salary: CAD 136,000–187,000, plus equity where applicable, bonus, and benefits.

What you will do

• Implement internal and edge networking infrastructure for global-scale, multi-cloud, and multi-region environments.
• Design and develop network services, tools, and automation for engineering and operations teams.
• Lead cross-team initiatives from design and code review through operational robustness and security hygiene.
• Research and implement solutions for routing, failover, and scaling.
• Participate in the team’s on-call rotation.

Requirements

• 3+ years of software development experience in cloud-native services such as APIs.
• Knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, and TLS.
• DevOps experience with cloud-agnostic and cloud-native technologies.
• Experience managing infrastructure with Terraform and contributing to Go-based services.
• Interest in building highly reliable, maintainable, scalable, and secure distributed systems.

Nice to have

• Infrastructure product mindset and experience building self-service internal networking tools.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, and major content delivery networks.
• Experience implementing and scaling service mesh architectures.
• Knowledge of Istio, Envoy Proxy, and the Kubernetes Gateway API.
• Experience with multi-cloud networking topologies and hybrid connectivity such as Direct Connect and Cloud Interconnect.
