AppOps, Senior Specialist (AWS)

Location: Toronto, Canada; flexible hybrid work model. Eligibility to work for hirify.global Corp. in Canada in a full-time capacity is required.

Salary: CAD 105,000–135,000 base annually, plus eligibility for a short-term incentive plan.

What you will do

• Manage, enhance, tune, and support critical applications, platforms, and infrastructure across cloud and hybrid environments.
• Drive service stability, automation, optimization, release readiness, deployment validation, environment parity, and rollback planning.
• Implement monitoring and observability for AWS workloads using tools such as CloudWatch, Dynatrace, X-Ray, and CloudTrail.
• Develop scalable deployment, testing, validation, self-healing, and auto-scaling solutions that reduce manual intervention.
• Analyze production and testing trends, perform root cause analysis, tune performance, and collaborate with Agile squads on issue mitigation.
• Participate in 24/7 rotating on-call support, critical changes, incident response, security improvements, vulnerability remediation, and technical documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of AWS infrastructure and services including EC2, S3, RDS, EKS, ECS, and Lambda.
• Strong knowledge of Terraform and infrastructure-as-code principles.
• Experience with workload observability, cloud redundancy, networking, load balancing, availability zones, and auto-scaling.
• Experience with Git, relational databases including Aurora PostgreSQL and RDS Oracle, microservices, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Eligibility to work in Canada for hirify.global Corp. in a full-time capacity.
