What you will do

• Lead design and implementation of infrastructure platforms, services, and tooling for large-scale application development
• Own complex multi-phase technical projects from design through production rollout and iteration
• Develop backend systems and shared services using Go and Python, setting standards for code quality and maintainability
• Design and improve Kubernetes-based systems, including cluster architecture, controllers, and deployment workflows
• Partner with engineering teams to provision, optimize, and scale cloud infrastructure across AWS environments
• Diagnose and resolve high-impact system issues across distributed systems to improve reliability and performance

Requirements

• Significant experience building backend or infrastructure systems using Go, Python, or similar languages
• Strong experience with Kubernetes and cloud platforms such as AWS
• Experience with infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform and building reproducible environments
• Experience leading technical projects and guiding architectural decisions
• Comfort mentoring engineers and contributing to team-wide technical direction
• Location: Based in Toronto office; in-person attendance expected at least 3 days per week
