TL;DR

Senior Software Developer (Workflows) (Backend): Building modular, composable, and interoperable platform components for a precision health data platform with an accent on storage and processing of multimodal health data. Focus on designing scalable data processing pipelines and delivering software features using Go and GCP.

Location: Toronto, Canada. Must be legally authorized to work in Canada; hirify.global is unable to offer visa or work permit sponsorship.

Salary: CAD 146,500–164,500 + bonus + equity + benefits

What you will do

• Design, develop, and deliver new software features across the hirify.global tech stack.
• Build modular, composable, and interoperable platform components for precision health data storage and processing.
• Propose technical solutions to design problems by analyzing and comparing different options.
• Utilize industry-standard tools including GitHub, Google Cloud (GCP), Go, Docker, and Terraform.

Requirements

• BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• At least 2 years of professional software development experience in an industry setting.
• Expertise in building systems on GCP, AWS, or Azure (GCP preferred).
• Proficiency in one or more general-purpose languages such as Java, C/C++, C#, Go, Python, or JavaScript.
• Must be legally authorized to work in Canada without sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Strong experience with Go, Java, Python, and SQL.
• Proficiency in Apache Beam for data ingestion and processing.
• Solid understanding of ETL principles and experience with BigQuery or other analytics databases.
• Exposure to healthcare or life sciences, with an emphasis on HL7 FHIR.
