TL;DR

Human Resources Specialist: Providing operational HR support and advisory services to academic and research portfolios with an accent on full-cycle recruitment, compensation administration, and collective agreement interpretation. Location: Must be based in Vancouver, BC, Canada (hirify.global Vancouver Campus)

Compensation: $6,747.50 - $9,701.42 CAD Monthly

What you will do

  • Provide operational HR advice on collective agreements, employment policy, and legislation to client departments.
  • Manage full-cycle recruitment activities, including job posting, interviewing, and selection recommendations.
  • Coordinate compensation matters, including salary administration and merit increases in compliance with agreements.
  • Facilitate return-to-work and accommodation processes for employees.
  • Support HR managers with performance management, investigations, and grievance research.
  • Oversee onboarding processes and maintain HR data accuracy within Workday.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline.
  • Minimum of three years of related HR experience.
  • Ability to work onsite at the hirify.global Vancouver Campus.
  • Thorough knowledge of HR management practices and provincial/federal employment legislation.
  • Experience working in a complex, unionized environment.
  • Proficiency with HR information systems, preferably Workday.

Nice to have

  • Experience in the post-secondary education sector.
  • Demonstrated ability to apply a coaching model to influence and advise client units.
