Sr. Functional Analyst, SAP

Location: Remote – United States or Canada

Salary: $110,000–$140,000 per year, depending on skills and experience.

What you will do

• Lead the translation of US and Canadian tax and regulatory requirements into SAP HR/Payroll system changes.
• Analyze legislative updates and create business analysis, functional specifications, user stories, and configuration requirements.
• Design complex legislative solutions, test strategies, and test plans, and perform system testing with QA.
• Provide expertise on US, Canadian, and Quebec payroll taxes, processes, configuration, Tax Reporter, T4, and RL forms.
• Coordinate problem-solving across clients, tax and regulatory specialists, Development, QA, and operational teams.
• Prepare release documentation, installation instructions, and client configuration guidance.

Requirements

• 15+ years of experience in US and Canadian SAP HR/Payroll projects.
• In-depth functional and technical knowledge of SAP US, Canada, and Quebec HR/Payroll modules.
• Expert understanding of US and Canadian payroll processes, legislation, tax calculations, and department requirements.
• Experience with US Tax Reporter, state tax file specifications, SAP configuration, and enterprise application development and QA lifecycles.
• Ability to work with tax and regulatory, Development, and QA teams on functional specifications and test strategies.
• Good written and conversational English, strong analytical skills, and professional communication abilities.

• ABAP or debugging knowledge.
