TL;DR

Principal Digital IP Verification Engineer (Automotive): Developing and verifying high-performance digital IPs for automotive and microcontroller applications with an accent on UVM-based methodologies, formal verification, and protocol compliance. Focus on driving a zero-defect mindset, providing technical leadership, and mentoring a team of engineers to ensure the reliability of complex sensor and processing technologies.

Location: Must be based in Austin, TX (Hybrid)

What you will do

  • Define and execute comprehensive verification plans for digital IPs.
  • Develop and implement advanced testbenches using UVM, drivers, monitors, and scoreboards.
  • Analyze RTL, functional coverage, and assertion coverage results to ensure design quality.
  • Apply formal verification methodologies and develop SystemVerilog assertions.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentor a small team of verification engineers.
  • Collaborate with global SoC and IP teams to drive best practices and productivity improvements.

Requirements

  • BSEE with 8+ years, MSEE with 5+ years, or PhD with 3+ years of semiconductor industry experience.
  • Strong expertise in Verilog and SystemVerilog.
  • Proven experience with OVM/UVM and class-based verification methodologies.
  • Knowledge of protocols such as DDR, PCIe, and AMBA (CHI, ACE, AXI).
  • Experience with formal verification and low-power verification (CPF/UPF).
  • Proficiency in scripting with Python, Perl, and UNIX/Linux environments.

Nice to have

  • Experience with FPGA, emulation, or prototyping platforms like HAPS, Palladium, or Zebu.
  • Familiarity with AI/LLM-based approaches to improve engineering efficiency.
  • Experience with VHDL.
