Senior EMS Sourcing Manager (Contract Manufacturing): Own day-to-day contract manufacturing (CM) relationship management, commercial execution, and sourcing strategy across Oura’s EMS/CM base with an accent on complex pricing and contracting negotiations, RFP/bid processes, and post-award governance across multiple NPI programs. Focus on building cost models and should-cost analyses, driving decisions without formal authority, and navigating ambiguity while coordinating with Engineering, Program Management, Finance, Legal, and Operations.
Location: Hybrid - San Francisco, California (based in the San Francisco Bay Area; come into the office 2–3 days per week)

What you will do
- Own day-to-day CM relationships and act as the primary commercial point of contact for active programs.
- Lead commercial negotiations (pricing, MVA structures, NRE, tooling, scrap/rework liability, and capacity commitments) with accountability for outcomes.
- Lead RFP and competitive bid processes for EMS/CM awards, including supplier participation and proposal evaluation.
- Lead commercial contracting with Legal for long-term supply/manufacturing agreements and translate contract language into clear commercial positions and risk allocation.
- Own post-award contract governance: compliance to commercial terms, renewals/amendments, and cross-functional follow-through.
- Build cost models/benchmarks/should-cost analyses and manage NPI program transitions through CMs with cross-functional coordination.
Requirements
- 5+ years of progressive experience in EMS or CM sourcing, including significant time in senior commercial roles with direct CM accountability.
- Proven experience leading complex CM commercial negotiations (pricing, MVA, capacity, scrap, NRE) with ownership of outcomes.
- Strong working relationships with CM contacts at commercial and operational levels; ability to build and maintain trust across geographies.
- Experience managing NPI programs through contract manufacturers with coordination across Engineering, PMO, and Quality.
- Background in high-volume consumer electronics hardware, ideally including wearables or similarly complex miniaturized products.
- Ability to travel 25% of the time (domestically and internationally).
