Product Engineer

TL;DR

Product Engineer (Mechanical/Electromechanical): Deliver turreted weapons systems hardware across the full product lifecycle with an accent on proposal support, design reviews, qualification, and production execution. Focus on solving engineering problems, sustaining production performance, and improving assembly & test methods while meeting customer specifications and integrity requirements.

Location: Santa Barbara, CA (Onsite)

Salary: $105,000.00–$135,000.00 Annually

What you will do

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute programs and deliver space-rated hardware to the customer.
• Coordinate with Program Management, Quality, Project Engineering, and Design Engineering to maintain high-integrity products and provide direction to technicians.
• Generate technical data, reports, and procedures to meet customer specifications.
• Maintain production hardware performance, resolve engineering problems, and drive initiatives to improve quality, reduce cost, and reduce lead-time.
• Participate in failure investigations to determine root cause and implement corrective actions.
• Evaluate, sustain, and improve assembly & test methods, fixtures, and test equipment for product delivery.

Requirements

• U.S. Security Clearance: ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance is required.
• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (or related) with 3+ years of relevant technical experience.
• Experience with closed-loop control systems and mechanical/electrical hardware design.
• Ability to clearly communicate with engineers, production staff, and management.
• Onsite requirement: must be able to work onsite in Goleta, CA (remote candidates will not be considered).
