What you will do

• Prepare specifications, evaluate proposals, and design physical transmission line routing layouts and support systems.
• Support planning, design, and construction management of transmission line projects.
• Assist with right-of-way (R-O-W) procurement through private property and work with LIDAR data scans.
• Provide construction management and field engineering support, including coordination with contractors and line maintenance groups.
• Support storm teams and system operating to re-energize transmission lines and restore service during outages.
• Support project documentation, reporting, vendor qualifications, and project closeout activities for transmission equipment.

Requirements

• Fluently communicate electrical technical knowledge with engineers and provide related information to non-technical coworkers.
• Understand and exchange information using utility industry terminology with cross-functional support areas (e.g., project management, system operating, plant accounting, T&D planning).
• Present facts based on knowledge or research and champion assignments to conclusion.
• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Civil, or Electrical Engineering required.
• Work authorization required (E-Verify/I-9 process).
