What you will do

• Design, build, and own backend services for learning products like Courseware and Sherpath.
• Drive features end-to-end from requirements and design through to production.
• Collaborate with product, architecture, and QA teams to deliver scalable solutions.
• Implement robust APIs and data models ensuring performance and reliability.
• Ensure system observability through effective logging, monitoring, and alerting.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote a culture of ownership and accountability.

Requirements

• Must be based in Mexico.
• 4–7 years of backend software engineering experience.
• Hands-on experience with Java and Spring Boot.
• Experience with relational databases like PostgreSQL.
• Strong understanding of RESTful API design and distributed architectures.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and production deployment practices.
