Senior Java Developer (E-commerce)

Location: Remote, based in Latin America; Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, or Mexico. The description specifically states that this opportunity is based in Brazil.

What you will do

• Design and develop large-scale distributed systems handling substantial data volumes.
• Build scalable, fault-tolerant, low-latency backend services for a customer-facing pet products marketplace.
• Architect APIs and event-driven solutions using cloud-native technologies.
• Diagnose and resolve production issues across services and infrastructure layers.
• Develop unit, API, regression, and performance tests.
• Improve scalability, availability, operational performance, CI/CD, and deployment processes.

Requirements

• 7+ years of software development experience.
• Expert Java and strong Spring Boot experience.
• Strong experience with Kafka or other event-streaming solutions.
• Strong AWS experience, including familiarity with EKS and other cloud platforms.
• Experience designing and deploying scalable, highly available distributed systems and event-driven architectures.
• SQL and NoSQL database experience, CI/CD knowledge, strong analytical skills, and excellent collaboration skills.
• Advanced English (C1) or higher.
