What you will do

• Manage and mentor a team of Agent Designers and Engineers, fostering a culture of excellence and user-centered thinking.
• Act as a hands-on contributor in the design and implementation of conversational UX, ensuring natural and consistent interactions.
• Guide the full lifecycle of agent development, from user journey mapping to prompting, tool integration, and testing.
• Evolve team processes to balance creative exploration with reliable, high-quality delivery.
• Partner with Product and Engineering teams to advocate for design quality while managing resource allocation.
• Stay at the forefront of agentic AI patterns, experimenting with new tooling and integrating findings into team workflows.

Requirements

• Must be based in the United States
• 5+ years of experience in a technical or design-adjacent role at a tech company.
• 2+ years of people management or proven leadership experience with a portfolio of projects.
• Proficiency in Python sufficient for code review and technical engagement.
• Hands-on experience with agentic AI workflows, LLMs, and conversational AI design.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to translate between design and engineering contexts.
• Meticulous attention to detail regarding language, tone, and interaction quality.

• Experience deploying conversational AI assistants using various platforms.
• Familiarity with agile delivery practices like sprint planning and capacity management.
• Deep knowledge of prompt engineering, tool use, and context management.
