Software Product Designer (Fintech)

Location: Toronto, Canada, with a flexible hybrid schedule; the role is based at 483 Bay Street until approximately late 2026 and then moves to 3 Robert Speck Parkway in Mississauga. Current work authorization for Canada is required.

Salary: CAD 101,000–118,000 annual base salary, plus a discretionary performance bonus.

What you will do

• Design user-centric experiences for a new suite of software applications.
• Develop user personas, experience maps, customer journeys, and interactive prototypes.
• Partner with product, marketing, development, and content teams to build consistent digital brand and design-system artifacts.
• Conduct user research and usability testing using data-based and interview-based methods.
• Apply design thinking and Sprint methodology to validate concepts and identify experience gaps.
• Use customer insights to inform product strategy and future feature design.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in software application design.
• Experience designing for iOS and Android mobile applications.
• Experience building design systems with tools such as Sketch or Adobe Suite.
• Experience with prototyping tools including InVision, Figma, or Axure.
• Experience facilitating collaborative design-thinking workshops and working with cross-functional teams.
• Knowledge of digital and Canadian accessibility standards, plus a college degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience.

Nice to have

• Experience in brand development, marketing, or communications.
