VP, Customer Engineering & Value Engineering (AI Infrastructure)

Location: United States (Remote)

Compensation: $357,000–$407,000 USD annually, plus equity and subsidized benefits.

What you will do

• Lead, coach, hire, and scale globally distributed Customer Engineering and Value Engineering organizations across North America, EMEA, APAC, and emerging markets.
• Own the global pre-sales lifecycle from technical discovery and requirements scoping through validated architectures, qualification, and business-case development.
• Establish standards for AI-first discovery, edge architecture, proof-of-value delivery, ROI modeling, and executive-level value articulation.
• Guide teams in designing GPU deployments, hybrid edge-cloud architectures, satellite-connected environments, and real-time AI systems.
• Partner with Sales, Product, Engineering, and Deployment teams to align architectures with ROI, operational efficiency, and AI transformation outcomes.
• Develop repeatable playbooks and feed customer and market insights into product, hardware, and platform strategy.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical field.
• 7+ years leading global Customer Engineering, Solutions Architecture, or Value Engineering teams, plus 7–10+ years in pre-sales, AI infrastructure, data centers, or distributed systems.
• Deep expertise in GPU infrastructure, the NVIDIA ecosystem, AI frameworks such as TensorRT and ONNX, and data center and edge architecture.
• Experience with Kubernetes, virtualization, and cloud IaaS/PaaS environments.
• Ability to architect end-to-end systems covering modular data centers, networking, storage, and compute.
• Ability to influence C-level stakeholders globally and willingness to travel internationally, including to remote and field environments.

Nice to have

• Experience in energy, defense, telecom, utilities, or industrial sectors.
• Exposure to modular or mobile data centers, edge AI optimization, OT/IT convergence, or satellite/LEO connectivity such as Starlink or VSAT.
• Global experience across EMEA, APAC, or the Middle East.
• Relevant AI/ML, cloud, or data center certifications.
