Location: Must be based in Vancouver, BC, Canada (hirify.global Vancouver Campus)

Compensation: $8,305.08 - $12,952.33 CAD Monthly

What you will do

  • Lead the strategic development and operational management of the Faculty of Medicine’s Office of Research.
  • Oversee staff recruitment, performance, and mentorship while providing functional direction to the Graduate and Postdoctoral Education Office.
  • Implement strategic plans and organizational change initiatives to enhance research productivity and streamline business processes.
  • Cultivate and manage strategic partnerships with internal and external stakeholders to advance research priorities.
  • Manage research-related resources and provide administrative leadership for research centres and institutes.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to develop fundraising opportunities and respond to major funding calls.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline required; PhD in Science preferred.
  • Minimum of seven years of related experience in research management or academic administration.
  • Excellent written and verbal English proficiency.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in designing and implementing organizational change initiatives.
  • Thorough understanding of research conduct, grant applications, and ethics processes within a university setting.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including early morning and evening meetings as required.

Nice to have

  • Professional designation related to health or life sciences.
  • Experience with HR management and office administration specifically at hirify.global.
  • Track record as a published author and presenter.
