What you will do

• Lead the development and execution of the national manufacturing underwriting strategy.
• Monitor portfolio performance to improve profitability and optimize growth.
• Build, manage, and mentor a dedicated underwriting team.
• Collaborate with business development to implement distribution strategies and expand trading relationships.
• Coordinate with product experts across lines like General Liability and Property to offer comprehensive market propositions.
• Engage with industry bodies and internal stakeholders to enhance product offerings and customer experience.

Requirements

• Minimum 7+ years of manufacturing insurance underwriting and/or leadership experience in Canada.
• Proven track record of developing and executing profitable growth strategies.
• Established relationships with brokers and clients in the manufacturing sector.
• Strong technical expertise in manufacturing-related product lines.
• Demonstrated experience in managing people and influencing key stakeholders.
• Ability to travel as required.

Nice to have

• Undergraduate degree.
• Industry designations such as CIP, CRM, or FCIP.
