What you will do
- Maintain a safe working environment and ensure proper execution of safety policies and procedures, including issuing safety permits as applicable.
- Coordinate maintenance activities with the facility maintenance department.
- Supervise employees to ensure safety, compliance, and adherence to facility policies.
- Maximize operational performance and efficiency; problem-solve and troubleshoot plant operational issues.
- Complete shift, daily, weekly, and monthly audits and verifications; maintain administrative records and hold employees accountable.
- Respond to injuries or accidents and support safe operations across the shift (11 am to 9 pm).
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of experience in waste processing or a related field, or a Bachelor’s degree in a related field plus equivalent management experience.
- DOT 8-hour Certification Training (or ability to complete).
- OSHA 10-hour Training (or ability to complete).
- HAZWOPER 8-hour Training (or ability to complete).
- Computer proficiency and ability to operate with Microsoft Suite.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; strong judgment, problem-solving, attention to detail, and time management.
