What you will do
- Develop a deep understanding of the commercial landscape to provide effective second-line engagement and challenge.
- Lead second-line risk reviews, providing quantitative and qualitative insights and recommendations.
- Support the Own Risk and Solvency Assessment (ORSA) process for various entities.
- Facilitate Risk & Control Self Assessments (RCSA) and enhance the control landscape.
- Prepare Board and Risk Committee packs and key regulatory deliverables.
- Foster a strong risk culture and hold first-line owners accountable for risk and control issues.
Requirements
- Must be based in or able to work from London or York, UK.
- 3-6 years of experience in Enterprise Risk Management.
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills, preferably in risk management or actuarial fields.
- Familiarity with insurance regulatory regimes such as Solvency II.
- Understanding of control environments and ability to assess and challenge risk assessments.
- Excellent communication, persuasion, and negotiation skills to influence stakeholders.
Nice to have
- Experience in General Insurance company operations, including underwriting and profitability drivers.
- Experience in Financial Services if insurance-specific background is limited.
- A proactive mindset towards leveraging AI to improve risk management processes.
