What you will do
- Assist with diagnosing and resolving IT issues; support system modifications, updates, and testing for basic workflows.
- Participate in functional and integrated testing; help identify and correct system errors to maintain reliable operations.
- Support user security management under senior analysts’ guidance and collaborate on system enhancements and optimization.
- Assist with data import/export and basic reporting; use data insights to support system configuration and improvements.
- Coordinate project planning and scheduling activities, maintain documentation, and help manage risks/issues.
- Provide end-user support and training (classroom, one-on-one, and remediation) and contribute to training content development.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field OR 2 years of relevant experience.
- Relevant certifications/proficiencies may be required, with completion targeted within 90 days after formal training provided by WVUHS Information Technology.
- Experience with business, clinical, imaging, or web application systems and advanced workflows focused on efficiency and optimization.
- Knowledge of clinical data management and healthcare interoperability standards: HL7, FHIR, and DICOM.
- Experience supporting inpatient and outpatient clinical settings with system implementations that improve patient care processes.
- Ability to work in a standard office environment and travel to other WVUHS facilities/affiliated sites as needed for implementations and support.
