What you will do

• Conduct requirements elicitation sessions with clinical and operational stakeholders to document functional and non-functional requirements.
• Perform requirements analysis and maintain traceability from stakeholder needs to acceptance criteria.
• Develop detailed user stories, use cases, process models, and conceptual data schemas.
• Facilitate user acceptance testing (UAT), including developing test scripts and tracking defects.
• Serve as a bridge between clinical subject matter experts and technical development teams.
• Develop training materials, standard operating procedures, and user guides for health IT systems.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Health Informatics, IT, Computer Science, Health Sciences, or a related field (or 6 additional years of relevant experience).
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in health IT or informatics, including 3 years of specialized experience in requirements analysis and UAT.
• Experience with systems used for the capture or standardization of health information or life sciences data.
• Ability to obtain a security clearance.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for technical documentation.

Nice to have

• Experience working with the Veterans Health Administration (VHA) or other federal agencies (CDC, CMS, DHA, HHS).
• Knowledge of clinical data standards such as HL7, FHIR, SNOMED CT, LOINC, or ICD-10.
• Familiarity with EHR systems, HIE platforms, or clinical data repositories.
• Proficiency with JIRA, BPMN, and UML use case diagrams.
