TL;DR
HR Generalist: Owning core HR operations and coordinating recruiting workflows with an accent on onboarding/offboarding, HRIS (UKG) administration, and benefits/leave processes. Focus on keeping recruiting and employee lifecycle operations moving accurately while supporting employment law compliance and sensitive HR data handling.
Location: Fully remote in the United States (preference for Bay Area)
Salary: $80,000–$95,000 base annual pay

What you will do
- Support the full recruiting lifecycle: job requisitions, job postings, interview scheduling coordination, candidate/hiring manager updates, offer letters, and e-signature routing.
- Act as the first point of contact for general HR questions and route to senior HR staff as needed.
- Coordinate new hire onboarding in UKG, including I-9 verification and new hire documentation completion.
- Manage employee offboarding workflows, including IT ticket submission for access removal and equipment retrieval.
- Maintain and update employee records in UKG, generate HRIS reports, and provide ad hoc reporting to the People team.
- Coordinate benefits administration (including open enrollment) and leave of absence processes (including FMLA and state leaves).
Requirements
- Approximately 3–4 years of HR or People Operations experience.
- Hands-on HRIS experience; UKG (UltiPro) experience strongly preferred.
- Proficiency with MS Office.
- Familiarity with employment law and state-specific requirements.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; comfortable corresponding with candidates, employees, and vendors.
- High discretion and ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
