Automation Technician (Manufacturing)

Salary: $27.00–$40.00 per hour (plus 15% shift differential for overnight hours).

What you will do

• Install, configure, and program PLCs and HMIs for processing equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair automated systems, conveyors, and mills.
• Calibrate sensors, actuators, and other industrial control devices.
• Perform preventive maintenance to ensure high equipment availability.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, including electrical schematics.
• Collaborate with maintenance and operations teams to optimize system performance.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree in electrical engineering, automation technology, or related field.
• 2+ years of experience in industrial automation (mining, processing, or manufacturing preferred).
• Strong proficiency with PLCs and HMIs.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and control diagrams.
• Must be able to work in an outdoor environment and perform physical tasks (lifting up to 60 lbs, standing for 12 hours).
• Must be able to maintain a clean-shaven face for respirator compliance.

Nice to have

• Experience with CMMS software.
• Previous experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
