What you will do

• Design and test relaying, control, SCADA, and PLC systems, specifically using SEL equipment.
• Produce configuration files for protocols including IEC61850, DNP3, and MODBUS.
• Perform detailed electrical design including one-line diagrams, schematics, and conduit/cable routing.
• Conduct field commissioning, inspection, and troubleshooting of substation control systems.
• Prepare technical documentation, specifications, and reports for client projects.
• Collaborate with designers and field personnel to ensure accuracy and quality of deliverables.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology.
• 2–5 years of relevant engineering or field experience.
• Must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
• Strong knowledge of medium and high voltage power systems and SCADA.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and network architecture diagramming.
• Ability to travel periodically (15–25%) for field assignments across states.

Nice to have

• FE licensure.
• Experience with Ignition or microgrid control operations.
• Background in substation or data center medium voltage equipment.
