What you will do

• Lead preconstruction and estimating efforts for utility-scale battery energy storage projects from development to handoff.
• Manage estimating teams, review project scopes, and coordinate competitive bid strategies.
• Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and clients to evaluate risks and identify project opportunities.
• Oversee bid preparation, contract negotiations, and ensure smooth transition to project execution.
• Drive continuous improvement of estimating systems and mentor team members to support business growth.
• Verify project quality and safety requirements are accurately calculated and included in estimates.

Requirements

• 5+ years of preconstruction or construction experience in estimating, project management, or contract negotiations.
• Bachelor’s degree in a construction-related discipline.
• Must be based in or able to work from Avon, MN.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting utility-scale Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects.
• Strong background in developing conceptual, budgetary, and detailed estimates for large-scale energy infrastructure.
