Location: Remote or at one of AES Clean Energy’s offices (US); Must be based in the US. Includes up to 25% travel to project locations.

Salary: $94,000 – $112,625 per year

What you will do

• Develop scopes of work and technical contract exhibits for utility-scale projects.
• Manage engineering consultants and EPC contractors to develop construction drawings.
• Perform technical due diligence and design reviews for PV and BESS systems.
• Value engineer designs to maximize reliability and reduce overall project costs.
• Provide technical support during construction, including responding to RFIs and performing QA/QC checks.
• Collaborate with Operations and Asset Management teams to resolve technical issues at operating sites.

Requirements

• Undergraduate degree in engineering or an equivalent technical field.
• 3+ years of professional experience in energy system design, project development, or construction.
• Electrical design expertise including 1-line/3-line diagrams, NEC sizing, grounding, and short circuit analysis.
• Experience with medium voltage collector system design and stormwater/grading permitting.
• Proficiency with MS Office Suite and direct project experience with Procore.
• Authorized to work in the US (confirmed via E-Verify).

Nice to have

• Graduate degree in engineering or EIT/PE qualifications.
• NABCEP PV Installation Professional certification.
• Experience with ETAP, SKM, PVsyst, or AutoCAD/Civil 3D.
• Substation, High Voltage, or SCADA engineering design experience.
• Fluency in Spanish.
