Salary: $134,700 - $207,600

What you will do

• Lead BESS product development from initial concept through to final launch.
• Define system architecture and integration across cells, modules, thermal management, and electronics.
• Translate product concepts into detailed system requirements and executable development plans.
• Drive technical tradeoff studies to optimize performance, cost, safety, and manufacturability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners in manufacturing, supply chain, and quality to ensure launch readiness.
• Mentor and develop technical talent across the energy storage organization.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering with 7+ years of product engineering experience.
• Proven success leading technical development of battery energy storage systems or electrified products.
• Deep understanding of BESS subsystems (BMS, thermal management, power conversion, etc.).
• Ability to develop system-level technical strategies and distill complex topics for leadership.
• Experience creating robust product development processes and templates.
• Must be based in the US or eligible for US employment.

Nice to have

• Master of Science in Engineering or a related technical field.
• Knowledge of relevant BESS codes, standards, and certification frameworks.
• Experience with design maturation, prototyping, and production launch.
• Understanding of competitive BESS market trends and emerging technologies.
