TL;DR

Institutional Business Development Manager (Fintech): Managing and growing a client base of institutional investors with an accent on territory sales strategy and relationship management. Focus on driving revenue growth, navigating the sales process for defined contributions, and collaborating with investment professionals.

Location: Hybrid in Toronto (moving to Mississauga in late 2026). Current work authorization for Canada is required.

Salary: $75,000 – $90,000 CAD base + variable compensation

What you will do

  • Develop and execute a Territory Sales Plan to maximize sales and grow company revenues.
  • Guide prospects through the sales process to uncover needs and offer tailored product or service solutions.
  • Proactively manage redemptions using sales tools, product solutions, and advisor data.
  • Partner with the VP of Sales to increase prospect and consultant penetration and overall sales.
  • Support the team with portfolio analysis, investment proposals, and competitive data mining.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of sales and institutional experience.
  • Exposure to Investment Consulting or Actuarial/Pension functions with client-facing responsibilities.
  • University degree, Certified Financial Planner (CFP), and Canadian Securities Course (CSC) required.
  • Current work authorization for Canada is required.
  • Actively pursuing the CFA designation (Level 1 completed).

Nice to have

  • FSA and/or ASA designations.
