Manager, R&D Software Quality

What you will do

• Lead and develop manual and automated software quality engineering teams.
• Plan and prioritize testing activities for on-time, in-scope delivery.
• Define test strategies aligned with business and regulatory requirements.
• Oversee test planning, execution, reporting, and traceability across all test levels.
• Drive improvements to quality processes, standards, automation practices, and testing frameworks.
• Collaborate with R&D, Product, and Project Management to assess deliverables, acceptance criteria, risks, process gaps, and audit findings.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 10+ years of software quality engineering experience, including 3+ years of people management.
• Experience leading both manual and automated testing teams.
• Strong expertise in testing tools, automation frameworks, and Agile methodologies such as Scrum or SAFe.
• Knowledge of DevOps, cloud-based solutions, SDLC, test management, and defect tracking.
• Hands-on scripting or programming experience with Python, JavaScript, or Ruby, plus SQL; experience testing APIs or mobile applications. Excellent written and verbal English communication skills are required.

Nice to have

• Experience with Polarion.
• Understanding of FDA regulations, including 21 CFR Part 11 and cGxP.
