Senior Software Test and Integration Engineer (WES)

Location: Lisbon, Portugal; office near Parque das Nações / Oriente. The role includes onsite software commissioning, approximately 10% travel across EMEA, and a 24/7 shift/on-call rotation.

What you will do

• Develop and execute functional, performance, security, and regression test plans for WES/WAF software.
• Identify, document, and track defects while collaborating with development teams on fixes.
• Integrate WES software with customer ERP, WMS, and PLC/control systems.
• Configure interfaces, commission software onsite, train customers, and maintain system documentation.
• Lead complex integration projects and act as a technical escalation point for 2nd-level support.
• Plan support resources and shifts, mentor junior engineers, and drive continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Technical degree in Software Engineering or a related field.
• 5–7 years of experience testing and integrating web, WES, or WCS applications.
• Experience leading complex software integration projects and providing 2nd- or 3rd-level support in a 24/7 environment.
• Strong SQL and database experience with SQL Server and PostgreSQL.
• Hands-on experience with Selenium, Appium, TestLink, and agile tools such as Azure DevOps or JIRA.
• Willingness to work in a 24/7 shift/on-call rotation and travel approximately 10% across EMEA.
