Software Engineer in Test (EU)

Location: Remote, hybrid, or office-based work is available from the listed European countries: Albania, Austria, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Kosovo, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, and the Netherlands.

Salary: EUR 2,100–3,400 gross per month. Final compensation depends on experience, location, and professional growth.

What you will do

• Analyze data-testing requirements and define appropriate automated test coverage.
• Build a data test automation framework from scratch and develop test code alongside developers.
• Automate test design, execution, reporting, and integration with Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines.
• Validate source data, perform automated reconciliation, and test ETL transformations and data pipelines.
• Test data in Databricks and validate Power BI reports, dashboards, and paginated reports.
• Apply AI/LLM-based testing approaches while ensuring reliable verification across the wider enterprise application.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software testing experience with strong hands-on data-testing expertise.
• Experience testing enterprise-scale data solutions and complex data platforms.
• Strong knowledge of databases and SQL, including data validation and reconciliation.
• Hands-on experience with Databricks, ETL or data-pipeline testing, and automated testing frameworks.
• Programming or scripting experience with Python, C#, and/or TypeScript; experience with Azure DevOps, ADO Pipelines, and GitHub.
• English at Intermediate+ level or higher is required.

Nice to have

• Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, DAX, PySpark, Apache Spark, and data modeling.
• AI/LLM-based testing experience, GitHub Copilot, or a data engineering background.
• Microsoft Fabric or Databricks certifications.
