TL;DR
Senior Software Developer (AML): Building and improving tools for custom alert scenario creation and complex workflow management with an accent on scalability and system reliability. Focus on designing end-to-end features, collaborating across product and engineering teams, and troubleshooting complex service workflows.
Location: Must be based in St. John's, NL (Hybrid: at least 3 days a week in-office).

What you will do
- Build and evolve tools for scenario and workflow creation.
- Design solutions that simplify complex workflows for customers.
- Own end-to-end delivery of features from design to production.
- Collaborate with product and quality teams to deliver new capabilities.
- Debug and troubleshoot issues across services and workflows.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- 2+ years of experience in production object-oriented software development (Java, Python).
- Experience designing and working with APIs and microservices.
- Experience with testing, debugging, and performance tuning.
- Familiarity with cloud environments such as AWS.
- Ability to model problems as workflows, rules, or scenarios.
Nice to have
- Familiarity with fraud, risk, or regulated environments.
- Experience supporting beta releases or early-stage products.
- Experience with workflow engines, rule builders, or low-code platforms.
