Senior Software Engineer (Healthcare)

Location: Toronto or Vancouver, Canada, with a hybrid working model combining remote and onsite work

Salary: CAD 156,000–188,000 annually, plus potential stock options and benefits

What you will do

• Scale data processing and storage from terabytes to petabytes as the customer base and datasets grow.
• Build and maintain bidirectional, real-time integrations with electronic health record systems.
• Improve core systems to support 100x growth in practices, patients, and developers.
• Own cross-functional engineering projects from technical design through launch and rollout.
• Partner with engineering leaders and product managers to define and deliver engineering goals.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software engineering experience focused on scalable backend systems and platforms.
• Deep experience with storage systems, cloud-native services, open-source projects, AWS, Kubernetes, and PostgreSQL.
• Knowledge of DevOps tools and practices.
• Strong understanding of quality and security engineering principles.
• Systems-level thinking across distributed system components, customer journeys, and data flows.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for working with technical and business stakeholders.
