Manager Software Development Investly

Location: Flexible hybrid schedule in Toronto at 483 Bay Street, moving to the Mississauga office at 3 Robert Speck Parkway in approximately late 2026. Current work authorization for Canada is required.

Salary: CAD 158,000–182,000 total annual cash compensation, including base salary and target bonus.

What you will do

• Lead and evolve end-to-end software development and SDLC processes across discovery, design, analytics, testing, automation, and agile delivery.
• Guide software developers, software quality specialists, and other technical staff through coaching, mentorship, goal setting, and performance management.
• Shape modern architecture across backend, web, mobile, database, and cloud layers for the Investly platform.
• Participate in architectural reviews, performance tuning, technical risk assessments, and security and infrastructure governance.
• Manage timelines, resource planning, prioritization, roadblocks, and predictable delivery.
• Translate complex technical information and business requirements into scalable designs and strategic product roadmap contributions.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software development experience, including at least 2 years in technical leadership or direct people management.
• University degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent work experience.
• Hands-on experience with backend, web, mobile, database, and cloud technologies.
• Experience with Java/Spring Boot or similar backend frameworks, React or comparable web frameworks, React Native or similar mobile frameworks, MySQL or PostgreSQL, and AWS or a comparable cloud provider.
• Strong background in software architecture, system design, integration, security, data governance, automation, testing, and cloud-native patterns.
• Strong communication, decision-making, influencing, user advocacy, and agile collaboration skills.
