What you will do

• Design and build scalable database systems for high-volume time-series telemetry data.
• Develop and maintain ETL pipelines to ingest, normalize, and aggregate data from multiple sources.
• Optimize database schemas, queries, indexing, and retention strategies.
• Build Python-based services and APIs for data processing and customer integrations.
• Collaborate with firmware, hardware, and DevOps teams to define data requirements.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering team members.

Requirements

• Must be eligible to access export-controlled information under U.S. law.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 7+ years of experience in backend or database engineering.
• Strong experience with relational or time-series databases like PostgreSQL or InfluxDB.
• Hands-on experience building ETL pipelines and large-scale data processing systems.
• Advanced Python development skills.

• Experience with telemetry or observability platforms.
• Familiarity with Kafka or other streaming systems.
• Knowledge of containerized environments like Docker and Kubernetes.
