Salary: $137,000 – $200,200 annually

What you will do

• Design and build backend services and platform components for modern data architectures.
• Make high-impact technical decisions regarding data modeling, system integration, and architecture.
• Build integrations with internal and external data sources, APIs, and event streams.
• Partner with data engineering and product teams to define scalable platform capabilities.
• Improve reliability, observability, and performance of data workflows.
• Establish engineering standards for code quality, CI/CD, and operational excellence.

Requirements

• Must be a U.S. Citizen due to government contract requirements.
• Active U.S. Government TS/SCI security clearance with CI polygraph required.
• 10+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong proficiency in Python.
• Experience with PostgreSQL and Elasticsearch.
• Familiarity with AWS services (S3, RDS).

Nice to have

• Experience with data platforms, ETL/ELT workflows, and large-scale data processing.
• Proficiency with Docker, Openshift, and Helm.
• Gitlab and Gitlab CI experience.
• DoD 8570 IAT II certification.
