Salary: $177,900–$203,700

What you will do

• Serve as a technical lead driving architecture and execution of major infrastructure and product projects
• Own and improve high-volume email infrastructure and decisioning systems for ingestion, routing, and outbound delivery
• Lead architectural evolutions to build reliable and scalable services powering hirify.global
• Collaborate with systems, infrastructure teams, product managers, designers, and engineers to build and test new features

Requirements

• Location: Must be based in or able to work hybrid in San Francisco, CA
• 3+ years of professional software engineering experience
• Strong experience building and operating high-scale, distributed backend systems
• Experience with dynamic languages such as JavaScript (TypeScript), Python, or Ruby
• Comfort owning complex systems and making architectural decisions impacting production
• Experience with on-call responsibilities and system reliability ownership

Nice to have

• Experience at B2B SaaS or customer communications companies
• Familiarity with high-volume email sending and DNS infrastructure
• Experience with AWS, Kafka, and email delivery services like SendGrid or MailGun
• Knowledge of email stack, RFCs, anti-spam infrastructure, and APIs like Gmail or Office 365
