Procurement Specialist

Location: Must be based in Pointe-Claire, Quebec, Canada (Hybrid work mode available).

What you will do

• Source and negotiate pricing and commercial terms with suppliers.
• Manage, issue, and revise purchase orders while ensuring contractual compliance.
• Coordinate with project teams and engineers regarding specifications, budgets, and delivery timelines.
• Follow up on manufacturing progress and manage acceleration requests.
• Reconcile invoices and ensure all required quality and contractual documentation is submitted.
• Negotiate vendor claims and change orders as necessary.

Requirements

• Legal status to work in Canada is required.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar purchasing role.
• Proficiency in English and French (Written-Spoken) is required.
• Experience with shop fabrication, steel purchase, machining, or welding.
• Ability to read shop/mechanical drawings.
• Intermediate to Advanced level of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.

Nice to have

• Experience with SAP purchasing software.
• Experience with the purchase of materials and services in the hydro industry.
