TL;DR

Consultant - Valuation (Finance): Providing valuation services for transaction opinions, tax reporting, and litigation with an accent on complex financial modeling and data analysis. Focus on leading valuation engagements, mentoring junior staff, and delivering high-quality financial insights to hedge funds and private equity clients.

Location: Must be based in Boston, MA and have legal right to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Salary: $90,000 - $160,000

What you will do

• Analyze historical and projected financial information to support valuation engagements.
• Develop and oversee the creation of detailed financial models for companies and complex securities.
• Manage large data sets efficiently using Excel and platforms like Capital IQ and Bloomberg.
• Present thorough valuation analyses to clients and ensure project deadlines are met.
• Lead and mentor junior staff throughout the project lifecycle.
• Participate in business development activities and client meetings.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
• 3 to 5 years of prior valuation work experience, preferably at a national accounting or valuation firm.
• Proven ability to lead the development of client-ready valuation deliverables.
• Must have legal right to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship.
• Strong financial modeling and technical valuation competencies.
• Exceptional attention to detail and report writing skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with Option Pricing Models (Black Scholes) and/or Monte Carlo simulation.
• Significant progress toward an ASA or similar professional designation.
