Functional Consultant, Delivery (AI)

Location: Tokyo, Japan. Hybrid work with work from home three days a week, depending on the team.

What you will do

• Gather business and process requirements with clients and document target-state processes.
• Collect, transform, and analyze sales, inventory, logistics, and other supply chain data.
• Design, configure, and deploy functional and technical solutions on the o9 platform.
• Apply statistical analysis, optimization algorithms, predictive methods, simulations, and data visualization to generate business insights.
• Create and execute workflow and data analytics test cases, track issues, and support solution fixes and deployment.
• Train global super users and end users, collaborate with stakeholders, and mentor junior analysts.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in operations research, industrial engineering, engineering management, business analytics, computer science, or a related field.
• At least 1 year of experience in enterprise application implementation and presenting complex topics clearly.
• Strong analytical, mathematical, statistical, optimization, data mining, and large-scale data processing skills.
• Required knowledge of Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets and document processing tools.
• Experience or training with databases and SQL-based languages such as SQL, MDX, or T-SQL is preferred.
• Strong communication, presentation, demonstration, training, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with advanced planning systems, ERP tools, agile methodology, or large-scale enterprise implementations.
• Experience leading supply chain planning implementations through requirements gathering, design, development, UAT/SIT, go-live, and value realization.
• Knowledge of R, SAS, CPLEX, or similar statistical, optimization, and simulation tools.
