Director, Global A&R: Leading talent identification, artist development, and global release strategies for Warner Music Canada with an accent on discovering emerging talent and managing complex recording projects. Location: Must be based in Toronto, Canada. This role requires 4 days per week in the office.

Salary: $110,000 - $140,000/annual

What you will do

• Identify and sign exceptional emerging talent across various genres for frontline labels.
• Collaborate with artists, producers, and songwriters to shape and execute unique musical visions.
• Manage end-to-end project execution, including recording budgets, timelines, and release strategies.
• Partner with marketing and PR teams to craft compelling narratives and drive global artist growth.
• Maintain strong relationships with managers, agents, and the broader creative community.
• Analyze market trends and performance data to refine artist development strategies.

Requirements

• Minimum 8 to 10 years of experience in A&R or related music industry roles.
• Proven track record of discovering, developing, and managing artists.
• Deep understanding of the digital commerce space and DSP artist portals.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage diverse teams and cross-functional projects.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for deal negotiation and relationship building.
• Flexibility to travel on short notice.
