What you will do

• Set up and operate side stroke, wide belt, and flutter sanders to finish wood components.
• Select appropriate abrasives and machine settings based on wood species and part geometry.
• Inspect parts for surface quality and dimensional accuracy to ensure consistency.
• Perform routine equipment maintenance, including cleaning and abrasive changes.
• Collaborate with team members to solve process issues and improve efficiency.
• Cross-train in other production departments to build additional skill blocks.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Proficiency in operating industrial wood sanding equipment.
• Ability to read work instructions, blueprints, and technical specifications.
• Competence in basic math and use of measuring tools like calipers and gauges.
• Must be able to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs for the duration of the shift.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.
