CNC Setup and Operate (Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Set up CNC lathes and milling machines based on blueprints, job specifications, and setup sheets.
• Install and adjust tooling, fixtures, collets, and work-holding devices.
• Set and verify work offsets, tool offsets, and machine parameters.
• Perform first-piece inspections in coordination with Quality Assurance.
• Troubleshoot issues related to tooling wear, fixtures, and machine operation.
• Support CNC operators with machine adjustments and document production notes.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Experience setting up CNC lathes and/or CNC milling machines.
• Proficiency with calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and other precision tools.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents.
• Basic math skills.
• Must be able to work on-site at the Franklin, NH location.

Nice to have

• 2+ years of CNC setup experience in a production environment.
• Experience diagnosing and replacing worn tooling.
• Knowledge of Lean/continuous improvement practices.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving ability.
