What you will do

• Define and design mechanical building blocks and test stations for optical transceiver components.
• Manage interfaces with contract manufacturers for part fabrication.
• Perform CAD design and thermal/mechanical simulations for components and systems.
• Develop packaging and housing solutions for electro-optical components.
• Act as an internal subproject lead for advanced R&D initiatives.
• Present technical results at internal reviews, conferences, and stakeholder meetings.

Requirements

• Master’s or Diploma in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, physics, or a related field.
• 3+ years of industrial work experience.
• Proficiency in CAD and thermal/mechanical simulation tools like Ansys.
• Experience in packaging of optical or electronic components.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills in English.
• Familiarity with assembly and packaging/SMT processes.

Nice to have

• Experience with integrated circuits and micro-optical/photonic components.
• Knowledge of test and qualification processes for high-speed optical transceivers.
• German language proficiency.
