What you will do
- Serve as the primary technical contact for OEMs and 1st Tier engineering to support application of automotive fuse products.
- Partner with sales to identify new global opportunities for fuse products/projects for existing and new customers.
- Support internal projects (Phase 1 and 2), focusing on Type 2 projects and assisting Type 1 projects as needed (including initial PDS).
- Provide technical training (Fuseology) and automotive product update training to customers, authorized sales reps, and distributors.
- Develop expertise in HEV/PHEV/EV battery protection and related system/components; work on new current sensor and PPTC technologies for high-voltage applications.
- Assess OEM standards for RFQs, evaluate competitive products, maintain competitor database, and update simulation tools and WIKI data; produce quarterly market trend reports and support trade shows/committees.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
- 5–10 years of experience in relevant product/technology protection within an automotive environment (preferred).
- Strong experience in customer interaction across product design and technical support processes.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in both Japanese and English.
- Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills; resilience and ability to work independently.
