What you will do

• Design and implement resilient, observable microservices using Java and Node.js.
• Configure and manage Kong Gateway via declarative YAML for security, traffic control, and zero-downtime deployments.
• Build and maintain a FHIR data facade to map internal domain data to healthcare standards.
• Own the full API lifecycle including design, automated testing, versioning, and SLO-driven operations.
• Implement OAuth2/OIDC flows and partner with InfoSec to ensure secure service-to-service communication.

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional experience in backend software engineering.
• Proficiency in Java and working knowledge of JavaScript/Node.js.
• Hands-on experience with Kong APIM, RESTful API design, and OpenAPI/Swagger.
• Strong understanding of microservices fundamentals, networking (TCP/IP, TLS), and distributed systems.
• Experience with HL7 FHIR or similar healthcare data transformation standards.
• Experience with cloud/containerized environments like Docker and Kubernetes.
