What you will do

• Lead architectural design and development of complex backend systems using Elixir on highly available, scalable, cost-effective GCP infrastructure.
• Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines (preferably Kubernetes-based) for provisioning, configuration management, and deployments.
• Implement robust monitoring, logging, and alerting to ensure application health and performance.
• Develop and maintain scalable, high-performance Elixir services; translate business requirements into technical specifications and plans.
• Drive technical excellence through code reviews, coding standards, and modern cloud-native best practices.
• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers and collaborate with product managers and UX/UI designers to align on deliverables.

Requirements

• 8+ years of software development with a primary focus on Elixir and functional programming.
• Proven experience designing and implementing scalable backend systems in Elixir and addressing complex technical challenges.
• Solid experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or AWS, including cloud architecture and networking concepts (VPC, load balancing, security).
• Strong Infrastructure as Code (IaC) experience (Terraform) and containerization experience (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Strong understanding of distributed systems, concurrency, and fault tolerance.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills, including mentoring/coaching junior engineers.
