What you will do

• Design and implement features for REST APIs, microservices, and distributed data ingestion/processing systems.
• Write scalable, performant, and secure code that can be shared across platforms.
• Contribute to the core backend by suggesting and executing meaningful system improvements.
• Enhance engineering standards, tooling, and security processes using OWASP techniques.
• Practice test-driven development and debug production issues across multiple levels of the stack.
• Participate in on-call rotations to ensure the resolution of critical technical issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience building scalable web applications.
• Experience designing and implementing highly-available distributed systems and microservices using Node.js.
• Proven experience building platforms that expose scalable backend APIs.
• Deep experience working with relational databases, specifically Postgres.
• Strong commitment to high code quality, automated testing, and engineering best practices.
